Final Phase Of The New Era Capital Campaign

Thanks to generous local foundations and individuals, 85% of our $2 million capital campaign has been raised.

Now we need everyone’s support to reach our goal and create a welcoming new home where more people facing breast or gynecologic cancer can find support, information, hope and healing.

To kick-off this final phase, the Mary Gelinas Memorial Gift Challenge has been offered by Mary's husband, Roger James. Mary passed away recently and she was a valued past board member and active volunteer. Your gift will be doubled until we reach $25,000. Please give TODAY in Mary's honor.

Why?

BGHP has made a strategic move to a larger building in the Myrtletown area of Eureka. Thanks to an incredible outpouring of community support, BGHP has already moved into its new home at 2715 Hubbard Lane in Eureka — Just ONE MILE from Providence St. Joseph Hospital, where most local people receive their cancer care.

Over the past year, the organization has quietly raised $1.7 million of its $2 million goal. There's only $300,000 needed to reach the finish line. This is why your help is needed.

What?

More Space. More Services. More Support.

The new space is already changing what's possible for local cancer patients: staff can accompany clients to nearby appointments, private rooms allow confidential visits, and a larger meeting room hosts support groups and survivorship classes — all things the organization's former Arcata home couldn't offer.

This campaign was never just about a building," said Rose Gale-Zoellick, Executive Director of BGHP. "It's about making sure no one locally has to face cancer alone. Our new home already makes that possible — now we're asking the community to help us sustain it.
