    Food For Healing Recipes
Healthy Recipes for Healthy Living Presented by
Murphy's Markets, FoodWise, Eureka Natural Foods

The Breast and GYN Health Project has teamed up with local plant-based chef, Rachele McCluskey of Foodwise Kitchen, to bring you three delicious recipes because we believe food should be enjoyable and healthy. Food packed with nutrients is important for helping your body to possibly reduce the risk of cancer, provide strength if you are undergoing cancer treatment and help the body heal if you are a cancer survivor. If you know someone facing cancer, these are great dishes to bring over to show your love and support. These recipes are easy to make and ingredients can easily be substituted to fit your needs. Each recipe comes with a downloadable recipe card and short video to teach you how to make it.

This video series is a special project in celebration of BGHP’s 25th Anniversary and could not have been possible without the generous support of our local grocery stores, Murphy’s Markets and Eureka Natural Foods. The videos were produced by Jay Tilghman and students of the MARZ Project, a core program of the Ink People Center for the Arts.

These videos were filmed in June of 2022.

Creating and sharing delicious, nutrient dense food is very important to me. Always having a passion for cooking, I wanted to take it further than taste and create dishes to heal and serve as clean fuel to my body as well as satisfy cravings. In 2014 I attended Living Light Culinary Institute. This was the start of my journey learning about the power of plants and whole food nutrition. There I received an Associate Chef and Instructor Certification along with a pastry arts certification. Continuing my education with nutrition conferences throughout the country. Learning and recipe developing for something bigger. Soon traveling to study in India and holding raw food preparation classes in Europe. In 2016 I began offering nutrition classes to low income families and seniors in our community and founding the Foodwise Kitchen. A whole food, plant based kitchen bringing passionate chefs and instructors together to inspire a healthier community through food.
